Ok... we New England-ers been very excited about Switchfoot this week. Not only did we recently find out that they are playing the Soulfest this year, but we also have a week full of dates throughout New England.
Dec 9th - Boston's Paradise Rock Club
Dec 10th - Lupo's in Providence
Dec 12th - Hartford's Webster Theater
Dec 14th - Higher Ground in Burlington, VT.
And if you're wondering who the opening band will be for the shows, Switchfoot recently responded to that question on their twitter account. "who's opening for you guys this tour?" - We are! We play our entire new album in order, then we play a bunch of fav's.
Wow... that's the latest info on the Switchfoot shows in New England... it sounds like its going to be an incredible show... don't miss it!

I was going to say that “The boys from San Diego have done it again”. However that would really not be a true statement. They are doing something that I have never seen. Selling out halls all across the country, they are playing their entire new CD, “Hello Hurricane” all 12 songs, in order, to open their show. Now there are a couple things that are amazing about this. First, not 30 days old, 1150 people packed into the Orange Peel in Asheville, were singing ALL the words to ALL the songs…Second, few bands will have the confidence to play an entire new album. Third, they have to bring a lot more instruments with them to pull this off. Fourth, there is not a bad song on the CD. Let me say that stronger. Each song seems better, fresher, deeper, and more relevant. How can you get more relevant than “Dare you to Move”? Somehow they pull it off.
They deliver musical journey in facing our fears head on, and somehow in their weakness, they are strong. It makes you think you can be strong too.
The result: a combination rock show/studio session complete with a mandolin, xylophone, accordion, harmonica, tympani, electronica, and oh yeah, guitar feedback…(we are talking about the ‘foot).
