TRUE LOVE WINS OVER HEROIN Outreach (part 2)

The Newsboys with special guests Seventh Day Slumber and Bread of Stone will be performing a concert at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium, Friday, October 9, 7:30 PM.

With your help, we can give tickets away to kids that need a friend, to kids on the fringe or in the midst of this nightmare called heroin. We're not suggesting that this one event is all it's going to take to turn the corner in the lives of kids using or soon to be using drugs, especially heroin. We are saying that we cannot turn a blind eye and stay quiet any longer. Let’s not to hear about another funeral of a 14 year old girl or boy who's body was found behind a school or another teen who has become infected with HIV AIDS from sharing needles, or another family destroyed because they didn't feel they could reach out to you or me and ask for help, for courage, for prayer and for our Love in Action.

At this event, the artists will encourage everyone to be bold and stand against drug use everywhere. A few of the artists, along with 12 year SoulFest therapist Nickey Mullen and her cohorts from H E S (Health and Education Services), will provide a brief pre-show conversation to any group leaders and pastors who wish to learn more about the heroin and drug epidemic. Additionally, in the lobby, there will be a booth and a team of qualified counselors to provide critical information and help to anyone asking.

I know it’s short notice. This idea has just now emerged and we are racing to get the word to you and ask you to engage with us by buying a block of tickets, which will be matched with free tickets. Give the tickets out to young people and families who need your hand of friendship and who by experiencing this concert event and your friendship, find the strength, the information, the resources and the hope to win break free form the grip of drugs. The Gospel message is about True Love, a revolution that wins over teenage depression, drug use, abuse, cynicism, and heroin.

Please call our office today to order a block of tickets. 978 346-4577. We will provide you with flyers and music. We will of course answer any questions. Standing together with the Newsboys, providing your kids an opportunity to reach out, let's bring this drug crisis into the Light of the Gospel and let everyone know that TRUE LOVE WINS OVER HEROIN.

Please make a good faith commitment and buy a block of tickets, the Newsboys will match you and we will get your tickets and flyers out to you immediately. The kids need your help with transportation and organization, to put this together. Let's fight this tragedy with True Love. Thank you.

By fantastic mercy,
Dan Russell and the SoulFest Team
