Saturday night, the roof almost came off of the Palladium in Worcester. Skillet pushed one of the oldest stages in central Massachusetts to its limits with a spectacular and energetic performance. The Alive & Awake tour delivered on its promise with 4 bands that each brought a brand of rock that was sure to keep people from falling asleep in their seats (if you even wanted one).
The Letter Black offered a furious pace in their set, getting the crowd moving right from the beginning of the show. And, despite the cramped stage conditions, Decyfer Down kept up the momentum as they hit the stage to play through their amped-up set. Offering a change of pace with a more melodic brand of rock, Hawk Nelson delivered up beat hit songs and plenty of laughs along the way. Finally, Skillet's driving guitars and well-timed, energy rock generated a musical experience that was like a pleasant slap to the face... just enough to get your attention and help you realize that you are Alive and Awake!
